Pastor Paul Vander Kaay, Dr. Robert White, and Jimmy Shaw
Pastor Paul Vander Kaay serves as Senior Pastor at Four Corners Baptist Church in Davenport, Florida. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota until he joined the United States Coast Guard in 1970. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in July of 1972. He retired in March of 1992 after serving twenty years of military service. Upon his retirement he immediately pursued his new career in nursing and graduated with his Nursing degree from San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas in May 1994. He served fulltime as an Emergency Room Nurse until March 2002, when he left his position as Director of Emergency Services at a local hospital to respond to Gods call to preach and pastor. In March of 2003 he was called to serve as pastor of the three year old Four Corners Baptist Church. In March of 2009 he celebrated his sixth anniversary at Four Corners. He is currently completing his seminary studies at Liberty University, through distance learning. He has a strong passion for evangelism and missions. He resides with his wife Geri and their son Bud, in Haines City.
Dr. Robert White serves as Executive Pastor of teaching and preaching at Four Corners Baptist Church in Davenport, Florida. He was raised in central Florida and completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Central Florida. After college, he completed the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. For more than 30 years he has served as pastor of churches in Florida and in Massachusetts. He served as adjunct professor at the Orlando Extension Center of Luther Rice Seminary, teaching Bible and Theology for 15 years. He recently began facilitating classes for the Distance Learning Program of Moody Bible Institute. He has served on the New Work Council of the Greater Orlando Baptist Association and the Pastor Support Team of the Ridge Baptist Association. He has been a consulting author for Crown Financial Ministries and recently became a published author. He has been on numerous cross-cultural overseas mission trips to India, Ukraine, Brazil, Dominican Republic, the Virgin Islands and Israel. Dr. White currently resides with his wife, Kaye, in Davenport, Florida.
James (Jimmy) Shaw was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania in 1941. He moved to Mississippi during his early childhood and then to Syracuse, New York. There he graduated from Cazenovia High School in 1959. In August, 1959, after graduation, he married the love of his life, Phyllis. Jimmy has worked as a farmer. He also worked in a slaughter house, meat market and over the road truck driver. He worked with Transport for Christ for four years. He was a private fleet manager and retired in 1998. He has been an active deacon since 1972 and presently serves as Chairman of Deacons at our church. He has also served with Habitat for Humanity. Jimmy became the Church Administrator at Four Corners Baptist Church in 2007.
